Creative marketing for The Sequence Group

Highlighting the successes of a boutique post-production company

The client

The Sequence Group is a creative studio with offices in Vancouver and Melbourne.

The creative team offers content creation and production services with a focus on the narrative extension of existing brands and content. The team has worked with well-known IPs such as Halo, Transformers and Star Wars and alongside brands like Marvel and Slack.

The Sequence Group has produced a plenitude of content in collaboration with these companies, ranging from ads to game cinematics, show titles, animated series, even visualisations, VFX, artwork and more.

The brief

The Sequence Group were drawn to Grammatik by our knowledge of the creative sector and the tools and technology that powers it.

The team at Sequence were looking for a marketing partner that could help them to spread the word about the work they were producing, while also taking the lead on the day-to-day marketing activities that could go overlooked in the heat of production.

Grammatik set to work supporting the Sequence team across publicity, social media, content marketing and more, ensuring no new project went out the gates without a promotional strategy behind it.

Every new project created by Sequence was accompanied by a promotional strategy. We ensured that the final product and creative breakdowns were distributed to the press and covered in the industry’s primary outlets.

Events

Sequence’s leadership team was pitched into multiple events as speakers on a number of topics. This resulted in speaking opportunities at numerous conferences, such as NAB, SIGGRAPH and Amsterdam’s FITC.

Content marketing

We told the story of Sequence through a constant stream of content. A light, personal tone of voice communicated company updates, and opinion articles positioned the senior Sequence team as thought leaders in their field.

Social media

Grammatik took the reins on Sequence’s Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts. We ensured a frequent stream of content, with posts designed to promote Sequence’s most recent projects while also highlighting the studio culture.
